gauche-gdbm software package provides gdbm binding for Gauche, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gauche-gdbm
gauche-gdbm is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gauche-gdbm package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gauche-gdbm *
You will get with gauche-gdbm package name, version, architecture and description in a table
